Max Verstappen a remporté le Grand Prix de France, portant un grand coup à son rival Charles Leclerc dans la course au titre. Le pilote Ferrari a mis un DNF derrière son nom. Sans la pression du Monégasque, Verstappen a remporté la course. Carlos Sainz a rattrapé le temps perdu et Mercedes a maximisé ses chances avec un double podium.
